As if by Bruegel.

Pieter Breugel (The elder)-detail from Wedding Dance in the Open Air (Dutch 1566)

These are the remnants of a comedy--

Zigzagging smiles--
Leers,
But it must be seen through a window
And are they aware we watch them,
Funneling our hormones through the arcs
Of their fantasy lives?

As if by Bruegel we've been nabbed in the middle
Of a worldly imperfect smile.

Yes, one.
